“St Mark’s Church recognises the trauma caused by abuse, especially when abuse has taken place within a church context. As a church we commit to welcoming people who have experienced abuse, listening to them at their own pace and valuing them as precious individuals loved by God. We will ensure good safeguarding practice in our church. We will respond to disclosures sensitively, in line with the ‘If I told you, what would you do?’ resources, which can be found in church and on our website.

 

We will pray for those who live with the consequences of abuse and we support the pursuit of justice for survivors”.
