Meet some of the team at St Mark's...
We have a lot going on at St Mark's, so we rely on a dedicated team of ministers and volunteers to make things happen!
Here are some of the team and what they get up to at St Mark's:
Priest in Charge: Rev'd Dr Rae Caro
Rev'd Rae was licensed as Priest in Charge here in June 2021. She has particular interest in Mission, ministry with those who have experienced trauma, and women of the Bible. As well as being our Priest in Charge, she is Mission Enabler for New Estates in Tynemouth Deanery.
Fr Jim served as Vicar of St Peter's, Monkseaton, becoming an Honorary Canon, and subsequently moved to Whittingham in Northumberland where he was Area Dean of Alnwick, before coming to Shiremoor where he has been equally busy!

Safeguarding Officer: Charlotte Webster
Charlotte has recently taken on the role of Safeguarding Officer. Charlotte brings her experience of coordinating our Winged Lions Sunday Club and her work as a teacher. Please speak to her if you have any concerns about a child or vulnerable adult.
Church Warden: Clive Johnson
Church Warden and Safeguarding Assistant: Paul Robson
Paul provides extra support to our safeguarding team. He is an experienced safeguarding lead. Please speak to him if you have any concerns about a child or vulnerable adult.
Sacristan: Alice McNab
Alice looks after the sacristy and makes sure that everything is ready for services at St Mark's. She also runs our dedicated team of altar servers, as well as being a leader at "Winged Lions" and helping at the regular Tuesday lunch club in the church hall.
